The 6 levels of Witchcraft and Ritual

To begin, we are not referring to some type of magickal ancient pyramid, but philosophy; that gives you the foundation of all your magical workings. The Witches Pyramid is also known as the four Powers of the Magus, Four Secrets of the Sphinx, and the Hermetic Quaternary. However, no one really knows the origins of the Pyramid philosophy.

The 6 Levels of the Pyramid can be applied to any type of magick:

-To know (East, Air)

-To Imagine (South Fire)

-To Dare (West, Water)

-To keep silent (North Earth)

-To Will

-To Faith

Noscere To Know: This is to have the knowledge to do the work you have in mind. In other words, you need to research and put the effort forth. This also applies to knowing yourself weakness, and strengths.You must also take into consideration the limits you place yourself as some Satanic rituals will be about breaking such limits. Knowledge is connected to the element air, because of the connection to the beta consciousness, communication, and the intellect.

To Imagine: This is the power to conjure up the images within your mind's eye. Anytime we do Evocation essential it is the practice of manifestation of the imagination. This image is one of the most powerful tools we have as witches. This builds emotion and direction for your work. The level of intensity of your mind's image can directly impact the desired result.

Audere To Dare: The courage needs to do the work; if you allow fear of consequences into your work. It will negatively affect the outcome desired. This is where the concept of Karma comes into play. However, not in the way, you might be thinking of. For example, if you are performing a curse and you do not feel guilty nothing bad will come to you. On the other hand, if you do feel guilty you will create your own karma. The idea of doing right or wrong is completely subjective. So, there is no universal force punishing others for a point of perspective. So this level is about moving forward without fear in your magical workings. Dare is connected to the element water as it is a reflection of our own emotions.

Tacere To Keep Silent: The purpose of this level is to protect you as the practitioner. This level is directly connected to the element earth and the delta consciousness, which is the level of deep sleep, and trance. So, this stage can make you valuable to others self-righteous attacks against you. Nothing wrong with sharing as long it with a trusted individual who you know will cause you no harm. Sharing experiences can teach us many things, but keep in mind who you are sharing with and what is the intent of sharing.

Velle To Will: The will is the desire which gives the work its impetus, without the Will, nothing happens. This is connecting your desire to the raised energy to manifest one's outcome. Before a ritual or spell think about what the purpose of the work and focus on the resulting feeling. This will help guide your desire to the emotional energy you have created with imagination.

To have faith: Faith forms an important level on the pyramid because this is the solid knowledge that your spell work or ritual will succeed. This is not blind faith or meaning to be obedient, but confidence in yourself and abilities.
